Anyone who grew up watching anime imports in the '90s will undoubtedly recognize Ninja Scroll. If you're a fan of this iconic action film, you'll be pleased to know that a new Blu-ray edition is on its way. Although a steelbook version was released in October, it quickly sold out, and there's no confirmation yet on whether a new batch will be produced. The good news is that a standard Blu-ray version will be available starting January 28, 2025, and it's currently available for preorder on Amazon for just $16.89 (down from $25). This marks the first physical release of Ninja Scroll since 2012, making it a welcome return for fans of this classic anime.

Another cult-favorite anime worth checking out is Samurai Champloo, a unique blend of hip-hop and adventure set in an alternate Edo-era Japan. The original series has recently been re-released on Blu-ray, with a limited-edition version featuring a stylish slipcase and six art cards. This edition includes all 26 episodes spread across three Blu-ray discs, priced at $67.50. For those who prefer a more straightforward option, a no-frills version is also available for $32.49 (originally $50) on Amazon.

If you're a fan of steelbooks and missed out on the Ninja Scroll release, there's another recent offering that might catch your eye. Afro Samurai: The Complete Series and the movie Resurrection were released together in a budget-friendly collection in November. You can currently save 30% on the Steelbook Edition, bringing the price down from $40 to $28.
