Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the completion of a new bridge connecting Zaa'beel Palace Street to a major highway. The three-lane Zaa'beel Palace Street Bridge, which spans 700 meters, now links Zaa'beel Palace Street and Oud Metha Road to Al Khail Road towards Abu Dhabi. The RTA stated that the bridge can accommodate 4,800 vehicles per hour and will decrease travel time.

This bridge is part of the RTA's Al Khail road improvement project, unveiled in February. The Dh700-million initiative includes the construction of five new bridges aimed at eliminating traffic congestion on the highway. Upon completion, the project is expected to reduce travel time by 30 percent. The RTA previously announced that road enhancements would be implemented in several areas including Zabeel, Meydan, Al Quoz 1, Ghadeer Al Tair, and Jumeirah Village Circle.
