Two new buses designed to serve two well-known Dubai neighborhoods have begun operating on the streets. As reported by Khaleej Times last weekend, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched two new circular public bus routes. The first route, DH1, operates between Dubai Hills and Equiti Metro Station, while the second route, DA2, connects Damac Hills with Dubai Studio City.
DH1 operates on a circular schedule with departures every hour. The initial journey starts from Dubai Hills at 7:09 AM, with the final trip leaving at 10:09 PM on weekdays and at 12:09 AM on weekends (Friday to Sunday). DA2, the circular route linking DAMAC Hills and Dubai Studio City, operates every two hours. The first departure from DAMAC Hills is at 5:47 AM, and the last departure is at 9:32 PM daily. The fare for each journey is set at Dh5.
Adel Mohammed Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA’s Public Transport Agency, stated that these routes are part of RTA's efforts to enhance the internal bus network and improve connectivity with other public transport modes in the emirate. "RTA is dedicated to expanding the public bus network and improving its integration with other mass transit options such as the metro, tram, and marine transport. Enhancing these connections makes them the preferred transportation methods in the emirate," he added.
