An online platform designed to provide residents and visitors with comprehensive information about living and working in Ras al Khaimah (RAK) was launched on Wednesday. Named ‘Heart of RAK’, the website offers detailed insights into the emirate's lifestyle, tourism, and business environment, covering everything from local communities and educational institutions to accommodation options, shopping, dining, and entertainment.

‘Heart of RAK’ was developed to connect residents, potential newcomers, and the broader community,” stated Rouba Zeidan, head of special projects at RAK Government Media Office (RAKGMO), during the launch. “Heart of RAK highlights the emirate's allure through various editorial content and blogs, featuring everything from the best places to enjoy karak tea to practical advice on relocating pets,” Rouba emphasized, adding that the initiative aims to resonate emotionally, speaking ‘from the heart’ of the community.

Community and focus group discussions heavily influenced the platform's design, incorporating insights from local residents and experts, including university professors,” she added. “The Heart of RAK embodies a profound sense of community and belonging, reflecting an evolving experience that nurtures growth and connection,” Rouba noted. According to RAKGMO, users will find various contents, including updates on government initiatives, new developments, family-friendly weekend activities, event coverage, and a comprehensive guide to Ras Al Khaimah’s rich culture, history, and traditions.

Heba Fatani, RAKGMO director general, said: “Heart of RAK aligns with the vision of Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, to position the emirate as a premier global destination to live, work and explore. It is more than a digital space but a holistic project that showcases Ras Al Khaimah's unique blend of tradition, hospitality, and modernity.” “Heart of RAK seeks to foster a strong sense of belonging, allowing all residents, whether natives or newcomers, to feel at home,” she added.
