The Indian Consulate in New York has introduced a new platform designed to help Indian students discover internship opportunities in the United States. Students can now access this freshly launched portal to directly apply to companies as per the details listed.
"As part of our initiative to support Indian students within our jurisdiction, @IndiainNew York has created a platform for Indian students to explore internship opportunities with companies in the USA," the Indian Consulate in New York stated on X. This marks a new service aimed at assisting Indian students in the consulate's area.
The Consulate in New York also mentioned that numerous Indian and American companies and organizations have committed to considering qualified Indian students for internships, as referenced in the Indian Student Resource Portal. The US Embassy in India disclosed in a November release that the number of Indian students traveling to the US for higher education has reached a record high for the third consecutive year.
According to the Open Doors Report (ODR), the influx of Indian students to the US surged by 35 percent, culminating in a record 2,68,923 students in the academic year 2022-23. Indian students represent over 25 percent of the more than one million international students enrolled in US institutions.
