A new scam has emerged in the city, targeting our beloved chocolate. Dubai has been captivated by the viral chocolate bars containing the soft dessert kunafa inside. FIX Dessert Chocolatier was among the pioneers in this trend. These treats have been exclusively available on Deliveroo, which might explain why a website claiming to take orders was perceived as legitimate.
The company swiftly responded to these fraudulent claims. On August 13, they posted a warning on their Instagram page, clarifying that they do not operate a website or physical store, nor do they sell bars on social media or through authorized resellers. FIX cautioned customers about scammers, noting that self-proclaimed distributors are not storing the dessert bars under proper conditions and are selling them at triple the price, exploiting loyal customers.
FIX emphasized that their products are only available in Dubai via Deliveroo. They encouraged customers to report any resellers or accounts posing as FIX. The company is working diligently to expand their reach to more cities, ensuring customers receive the quality and authenticity they deserve. They promised to announce any new selling points on their official pages and invited suggestions for cities where FIX might be introduced.
