A fresh update has been rolled out for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The December 10 patch introduces significant weapon adjustments across all modes, focusing on weapon motion and idle sway modifications, alongside enhanced headshot damage for several firearms in Black Ops 6.

According to the patch notes, the update refines weapon motion and idle sway for all Black Ops 6 weapons. This includes reductions in visual recoil, turn sway, and idle sway, as well as decreased weapon bob during movement. Treyarch explains, "We have thoroughly reviewed weapon motion and implemented reductions across the board to enhance the overall combat experience. These reductions vary from 30% to 75%, depending on the weapon class."

Players can expect improved stability when turning, moving, switching stances, and firing, particularly while aiming down sights. These adjustments apply to all Warzone and Black Ops 6 modes. The aiming idle sway delay for all Black Ops 6 weapons has been reduced to 2.2 seconds, a 50% decrease. Sniper rifles now completely eliminate idle sway.

Melee weapons have also been optimized for faster use across all modes. The time between melee swings has been improved by 7.5% for knives, 14% for baseball bats, and 9.5% for power drills. For Black Ops 6, Treyarch has detailed weapon adjustments that boost the effectiveness of headshots on most full-auto primary weapons. The Krig C, Model L, and GPR 91 assault rifles now have a headshot multiplier increase from 1.15 to 1.25. Submachine guns also receive slight headshot multiplier enhancements, and the CHF Barrel attachment has been adjusted to further boost the headshot multiplier for several guns.

The patch notes also include notable changes for Zombies, addressing stability issues and fixing a bug that previously triggered AFK warnings for active players. Additionally, bugs affecting the storyline Easter egg quest for Citadelle des Morts have been resolved. Warzone's update primarily focuses on the aforementioned weapon adjustments, with a minor tweak to Ranked Play. Buy Stations in Ranked Play now spawn at fixed locations identical to those in unranked modes.

For more detailed weapon tuning, players can refer to the official patch notes shared by Activision. In other Call of Duty news, a Squid Game collaboration is set to launch next month, alongside Season 1 Reloaded, which introduces new multiplayer maps, the Merry Mayhem holiday event, and additional DLC weapons.
