Beginning this Wednesday (June 19), vehicles violating parking regulations in Al Ain city of Abu Dhabi may be towed by authorities. The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), through Abu Dhabi Mobility (AD Mobility), has initiated a vehicle towing service. Vehicles in Al Ain will be towed based on the type of violation; for example, those without license plates will be immediately towed to the Mawaqif Vehicle Impounding Yard in Al Ain's industrial area. Furthermore, vehicles used for sale, commercial, advertising, or promotional purposes, or parked without a valid permit, will also be towed. This service aims to enforce the Mawaqif Regulation Law, which regulates public parking and enhances traffic flow. Abu Dhabi Mobility urges Al Ain residents to adhere to the Mawaqif Parking system to avoid towing and fines, emphasizing the importance of parking regulations for smooth traffic and community safety. Educational workshops are also being conducted by Abu Dhabi Mobility teams to educate the public on parking management.
