The closed beta for NFL Primetime Fantasy is now available on Android devices. Ubisoft's fantasy football game was announced in August and is free-to-play for both Android and iOS. Players create a roster of players using collectible cards and compete online. Although the NFL season is already in Week 6, the beta offers a preview of what to expect when the game officially launches later this year.

After pre-registering on Google Play, you may be selected for the beta and receive an invite to download the game from the Android store. Pre-registering also ensures an early access bundle at launch, including x100 Adrenaline for game modifiers and one Classic+ card pack with a guaranteed Dynasty premium card. The App Store also offers pre-registration, but there is currently no closed beta for Apple devices.

In terms of gameplay, collectible cards have individual stat boosters that can be leveled up. Players can register lineups for multiple games over a weekend or join a specific team on Sundays. Leaderboards and microtransactions are part of the experience, though it's too early to determine how intrusive the latter will be.

For those looking to dive deeper into NFL gaming, GameSpot's review of Madden NFL 25 gave it a 6/10, praising the on-field gameplay, collision variety, and Team Builder mode. Reviewer Mark Delaney noted, 'I've played over 30 hours of Madden 25 so far, and I will play hundreds more before next August, at which point I will get the newest Madden and undoubtedly do it all over again. In the end, maybe that's the real Madden Curse.'
