The NFL suspended Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller for four games without pay on Tuesday due to a violation of the league's personal conduct policy. Miller will be eligible for reinstatement after the Bills' Week 8 game against the Seattle Seahawks on October 28. During his suspension, he will miss games against the Houston Texans, New York Jets, and Tennessee Titans.
Miller, 35, surrendered to police in suburban Dallas last November following an arrest warrant in a domestic violence case involving his pregnant girlfriend. He was sought for third-degree felony assault, but no charges were ultimately filed, and Miller has consistently asserted his innocence. Authorities responded to a 'major disturbance call' at the couple's residence on the morning of November 29. Miller is alleged to have engaged in an argument with a pregnant woman, culminating in an assault.
Despite the ongoing investigation, Miller was permitted to continue playing. A distinguished player, Miller boasts eight Pro Bowl selections, seven All-Pro honors (including three first-team selections), and two Super Bowl victories. This season, he has contributed three sacks in Buffalo's first four games, playing off the bench.
