South Korean girl group NMIXX connected with audiences in a new way by performing with a live band at the British Summer Time (BST) Hyde Park Festival in London on Sunday. This marked the first time the six-member group, comprising Haewon, Lily, Sullyoon, BAE, Jiwoo, and Kyujin, took the main stage.
Lily, the Australian-born vocalist, expressed her excitement in a backstage interview after the show, saying, "When I learned we were performing in this historic park, I thought just visiting would be fun, but performing here is incredible." She also mentioned the group's limited festival experience but their fortunate opportunity to perform with a band, which allowed for more dynamic and collaborative performances.
NMIXX debuted in early 2022 and has since released two extended play records, three single albums, and toured across Asia and the United States. Their song Love Me Like This recently surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, with O.O and DASH nearing 200 million streams. The group has also been involved in high-profile promotional gigs for a Spanish luxury brand at European catwalk shows.
The group teased their upcoming song Moving On at BST, promising fans new and innovative music. Kyujin stated, "We're working hard to release music that's new and different," while Sullyoon added, "You're going to get a hip mix that we haven't shown yet. It's a bit more free."
