The guitar, famously described by Noel Gallagher as "the best in the world," which he played on Oasis' third album 'Be Here Now,' fetched £226,800 ($286,000; over Dh1 million) at an auction on Saturday. This custom Silver Sparkle Gibson Les Paul Florentine guitar was a key instrument for Gallagher during Oasis' peak fame in the 1990s. Crafted at Gibson's custom shop, it made appearances on 'The David Letterman Show' and 'Saturday Night Live.' In a 1997 interview with Spin magazine, Gallagher declared, "It's not one of the best guitars. It's the best guitar." The guitar was auctioned as part of a sale of entertainment memorabilia by online auction group Propstore.
