An oil spill was reported by hotel establishments in Fujairah on Friday, according to the emirate's environment authority. The emergency team quickly responded to the call, arriving at the location to discover that the slick had reached the beach. In collaboration with specialized oil spill response companies, affected hotels, and other entities, the authority ramped up efforts to effectively contain the situation. The Fujairah Environmental Authority shared images of the beach, both before and after the cleanup operation, on their Instagram page.

The authority also stated that it is working to identify the responsible party and will take legal action against them, emphasizing that there will be no leniency towards those who compromise the environment or threaten the emirate's resources.
