Microsoft-backed OpenAI announced on Friday night that it is currently dealing with an issue causing its widely-used chatbot, ChatGPT, to be inaccessible. The company stated on its website that it is investigating the problem and is working diligently to restore full functionality as quickly as possible. According to outage tracking website Downdetector.com, as of 7.13pm ET (0013 GMT on Saturday), over 19,403 users had been affected by the outage. OpenAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
