The 35.9-metre Opus II is currently undergoing a comprehensive refit at KRM Yacht's state-of-the-art facilities in Istanbul, Turkey. The entire project is scheduled to be completed within 18 months, with both the exterior and interior redesigns being handled by the renowned Turkish studio, Red Yacht Design.

The refit is focused on modernizing the classic Heesen yacht while maintaining its historical charm. Key changes include a redesigned transom that will feature an extension capable of housing a three-metre swimming pool. Additionally, the flybridge will be updated with a new Jacuzzi, bar, and sunbathing area. The interior will also undergo significant restructuring, increasing the number of guest cabins from three to five and enlarging the cabin portholes.

Other notable improvements include the installation of a new hardtop, a repaint of the hull and superstructure, a redesigned engine room, and the complete replacement of all electrical systems. Originally delivered in 1997, Opus II was initially designed by Francesco Paszkowski for the exterior and Evan K. Marshall for the interiors. It can accommodate up to six guests across three suites, with additional quarters for six crew members.

According to Kerem Başer, the managing director of KRM Yacht, "Rebuilding is not only a sustainable choice but also a cost-effective solution for clients. By integrating modern technology with traditional craftsmanship, KRM Yacht enhances the performance of classic yachts while preserving their historical value and the memories they hold." The Opus II is undergoing its refit alongside the 43.4-metre Costa Magna and the 31.1-metre Just4Us.
