Gaza's civil defence agency reported on Saturday that over 400 Palestinians have been killed in the northern part of the territory during the past two weeks, as a result of an ongoing military operation by Israel, which claims it is targeting Hamas militants to prevent their regrouping.
"Since the commencement of the military operation by the occupation army on October 6, we have retrieved more than 400 martyrs from various targeted areas in the northern Gaza Strip, including Jabalia and its camp, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun," stated Mahmud Bassal, spokesman for the Gaza civil defence agency, in an interview with AFP.
