The Oyster Palma Regatta concluded in Port Adriano last week after four days of thrilling racing across the vibrant waters and rugged inlets of Palma de Mallorca. Regatta stalwart Blow emerged as the top performer this year, securing Class 2 accolades and the overall Oyster Cup for the second time since its launch. The fleet engaged in five diverse races – around the cans, windward-leeward, and two pursuit races – with results contributing to both the overall series and the Oyster Cup.

Weather conditions were varied, with 17 Oyster yachts encountering everything from gentle breezes to 17 knots of wind, substantial swells, and heavy downpours. The Oyster 495 Mayfly clinched Class 3 victory following several close encounters with the newly-delivered Starr, winning four out of five races. Meanwhile, the 27.1-metre Lush claimed the top spot in Class 1 on countback, with its sistership Karibu closely trailing with two race wins.

"The Oyster Palma Regatta was an incredible week for all participants," remarked Ashley Highfield, CEO of Oyster Yachts. "It was fantastic to see such a mix of old and new Oyster yachts sailing together – this is what we strive for, the Oyster family enjoying shared experiences." The final evening and prize-giving ceremony took place at the historic 17th-century estate Ses Cases de sa Font Seca.

The next regatta is scheduled from 7 to 11 April 2025 in Antigua, Caribbean.
