The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan has issued a warning for increased rain, wind, and thundershowers, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in various regions until August 18. The anticipated rainfall could result in urban flooding, heightened water levels in rivers and streams, as well as landslides and mudflows in hilly areas, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). The NDMA has directed all pertinent authorities to remain on high alert and to mobilize resources for a swift response to any emergencies. Tourists are cautioned against traveling to the impacted areas during this time. The public is encouraged to stay alert, adhere to directives from local authorities, and to download the 'Pak NDMA Disaster Alert' app for timely updates and to closely monitor weather reports, the NDMA concluded.
