Parkin Company announced on Monday that it has expanded its parking capacity by approximately 2,900 spaces during the second quarter of this year, bringing the total to 177,000 in Dubai. The company's second quarterly report disclosed that around 3,000 additional parking spaces owned by developers were incorporated, raising the count to 172,000.

The total fines issued saw a 26% rise, increasing from 291,000 in Q2 2023 to 365,000 in Q2 2024, with a fine collection rate of 87% for the quarter. The bulk of these fines were issued due to public parking enforcement. Parkin has strengthened its enforcement measures through its fleet of smart inspection scan cars, which have enhanced the company's enforcement reach and precision, lessening the dependence on physical inspections.

Furthermore, the company noted that enhancements such as optimized scan routes, improved shift patterns, and a streamlined permit verification process, which eliminates the need for manual checks, contributed to a more than doubling of fines generated by scan cars in Q2 2024 compared to Q2 2023.
