Grinding Gear Games has revealed that a standalone PC client for Path of Exile 2 will be made available today, December 4, at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET for those eager to pre-load the game in advance.
The client can be downloaded via both the official website and a torrent simultaneously. However, players will not be able to log in until the early access period commences on December 6 at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET.
For Xbox users, pre-download is already accessible. PS5 players who purchase a Founder's Pack should also be able to pre-download. These packs are expected to go live 24 hours before the early access launch.
Path of Exile 2 has faced multiple delays, including a last-minute postponement in late October due to server-related issues. Despite these setbacks, the game is now slated for release this month.
The game will offer full cross-play support, enabling players to match with others regardless of platform. Additionally, cross-progression will be supported, allowing players to maintain and transfer their saved data across different platforms.
Path of Exile 2 is a top-down action-RPG akin to Diablo. It will enter early access on December 6 with a price tag of $30 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
