Patrick Armstrong showcased his finest golfing performance to claim the overall title at the Jumeirah Golf Estates annual Summer Open, held on the Fire course. A total of 82 golfers took part in the 18-hole competition, divided into gross and net Stableford categories. Male participants competed from the Tournament Orange Tees, while women played from the Green Tees. Armstrong secured victory with a remarkable 'all-time personal best' tally of 43 points. He began strongly with four net birdies in his initial six holes, maintaining his early advantage to achieve his best-ever score of even par 72, unmatched by any other player. The closest contender to Armstrong was Parvez Ahmed, who finished as the overall runner-up with 42 points, despite failing to score on two holes. Ahmed recovered impressively, registering three net eagles. Joshua Worton secured third place on a countback, scoring 41 points. The gross division saw less competition, with Mikhail Pinto dominating with a bogey-free round of gross 66, accumulating 42 points, winning the division by a margin of four points. As a former winner on the GEM International Amateur Invitational Golf Tour, Pinto was no novice to the spotlight when he received his trophy as the Gross Summer Open Champion. The subsequent best gross score was recorded by Tom Stephenson, the 2024 Jumeirah Golf Estates Club Champion, with a gross 70, two under par, totaling 38 points.
