A pilot tragically lost their life in an aircraft crash in the UAE, as announced by the General Authority of Civil Aviation on Tuesday.
The deceased was a flight instructor operating a training aircraft with a trainee aboard. The body of the individual was discovered on the shores of Fujairah.
Efforts are ongoing for the rescue team to locate the trainer and the aircraft's wreckage. Both the trainee and the instructor held foreign nationalities.
The incident was brought to the attention of the aviation authority following a report of an accident involving a training aircraft. Radar contact was lost approximately 20 minutes post-takeoff.
The authority has expressed its deepest condolences to the instructor's family and is working closely with relevant authorities to oversee the search and rescue operations.
An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the cause of the accident, with updates to be provided as they become available.
