Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who began his three-day visit to the US on Saturday, announced that he will participate in various programs and hold a bilateral meeting with President Biden. PM Modi is set to attend the sixth Quad Leaders' Summit in Wilmington, Delaware, hosted by US President Joe Biden on September 21. The Quad, comprising India, Australia, Japan, and the United States, will see leaders discussing regional security and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. India is scheduled to host the Quad Leaders' Summit in 2025.

During his visit, PM Modi will also engage with the Indian diaspora and American business leaders. He referred to the UN General Assembly's 'The Summit of the Future' as a pivotal moment for the international community to map out the future for humanity's betterment. The Prime Minister emphasized: "The Summit of the Future provides a platform for the global community to outline the path forward for humanity's progress. I will represent the views of one-sixth of humanity, whose stakes in a peaceful and secure future are paramount."

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described the Summit as a 'once in a generation UN Summit'. 'Summit of the Future' marks a significant milestone as the UN approaches its 80th anniversary in 2025. Notably, India and the United States share a comprehensive global strategic partnership, underpinned by common democratic values and aligned interests on numerous issues.
