Pokemon Go's Max Out season continues in October with a plethora of new events and Pokemon debuts scheduled over the next few weeks. Alongside new raid bosses, more Galar Pokemon are set to arrive this month, including Dynamax forms of Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. But that's not all; Pokemon Go is also gearing up for Halloween with spooky Spotlight Hours and its annual Halloween event, which will span two weeks this year. Several new Pokemon will be making their raid debuts throughout October. Throughout the month, trainers will have the opportunity to encounter Dynamax versions of Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble, and Falinks in Max Battles, while Zamazenta, Origin Forme Giratina, and Darkrai will reappear in five-star raids. Mega Raids, on the other hand, will embrace the Halloween spirit with the return of Mega Blaziken, Mega Sableye, and Mega Banette, while Shadow Entei will be featured in special Shadow Raids every weekend.

Pokemon Go's Spotlight Hour events continue in October, offering new Pokemon to catch and bonuses to earn. Every Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM local time, a specific species of Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild, accompanied by an extra bonus such as double candy or XP for catching Pokemon. Kicking off October is the Galarian Expedition event from October 4-11. During this event, the legendary Pokemon Zamazenta returns to five-star raids, and trainers will have their first chance to catch a shiny version. Additionally, shiny versions of Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres can be encountered when using Daily Adventure Incense. Event-themed Field Research tasks and Collection Challenges will also be available, along with a paid Masterwork Research quest to earn a Master Ball.

This month's Community Day takes place on Saturday, October 5, featuring the bug/grass Pokemon Sewaddle. From 2-5 PM local time, Sewaddle will appear more frequently in the wild, with an increased chance of encountering a shiny version. After the event, Sewaddle's evolved form, Swadloon, will appear in bonus four-star raids from 5-10 PM local time. Evolving Swadloon into Leavanny on the day of the event will also grant it the special move Shadow Claw.

A few bonuses will be available during October's Community Day. Incense and Lure Modules will last for three hours, double candy will be awarded for catching Pokemon, and eggs will hatch at a quarter of their usual distance.

Pokemon Go is hosting a special Mega Raid Day on October 12. Additional details will be announced closer to the event.

Closing out October is the annual Halloween extravaganza. The first part of the event runs from October 22-28, with more details to be announced later this month. The second part of the Halloween celebration runs from October 28-November 3, with additional details to be announced closer to the event.
