On Monday, Poland finalized a contract with Raytheon Polska and PGZ Huta Stalowa Wola for the manufacturing of 48 M903 launchers, integral to Patriot air defense systems, with a total value of $1.23 billion, according to the defense minister.

Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz confirmed during a visit to Sochaczew in central Poland that these launchers will be produced domestically. The 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine has heightened defense concerns among NATO's eastern flank members, prompting Poland to increase its defense expenditure to approximately four percent of its GDP this year, aiming to strengthen its military capabilities.
