The advent of the Portable Marina has revolutionized maritime passenger processing, transforming how travelers disembark from cruise ships. This innovative system enables the efficient checking of 5,000 passengers within a mere 20 minutes. Previously, the cumbersome process of individually verifying each passenger resulted in lengthy queues and delays. Now, officers can digitally scan passengers' information even before the ship reaches the port, significantly streamlining the immigration process. Upon arrival, passengers are swiftly identified using advanced facial recognition technology, drastically reducing queue times.

"With the Portable Marina, we can identify all passengers within just 20 minutes," stated Faisal Ahli from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). "This system allows us to pre-process passenger data, ensuring that when the ship docks, officers can rapidly verify travelers' identities." The traditional method of processing passengers involved extensive checks, often leading to prolonged wait times, particularly for ships carrying large numbers of passengers. The implementation of biometric identification at both sea and land ports, effective since earlier this year, has eliminated these delays for both entering and exiting the ports. "Passengers no longer endure long queues, making their travel experience more seamless and enjoyable," added Ahli.
