As the year-end award season kicks off, superstar Post Malone has shared his current favorite game—Hunt: Showdown. The musician recently gushed about the FPS during a conversation with the game's creative director, calling it 'the best game.' This revelation was captured in a video (viewable below) that appeared on the Hunt: Showdown YouTube channel, courtesy of PC Gamer. Malone explained that a friend introduced him to Hunt: Showdown, and he's been hooked ever since. 'Whenever I'm on the road and can't play, I'm always missing it,' Malone said. 'And I've got about 400 hours on it.'
Malone highlighted his appreciation for the game's one-shot mechanics and the impressive guns and skins it offers. The Grammy Award-nominated artist, known for hits like 'White Iverson,' 'Sunflower,' and 'Rockstar,' was particularly blown away by the 'Necro' character when he first tried it out. This isn't Malone's first foray into the gaming world. Last year, Apex Legends collaborated with Malone for a special in-game event, featuring skins inspired by the musician. Earlier this year, Backbone released a limited-edition Post Malone controller. Additionally, Malone is known to be a big fan of Lord of the Rings.
Meanwhile, Hunt: Showdown saw its best performance on Steam in August following the launch of the 1896 update. Developer Crytek revamped the shooter's visuals and discontinued support for Xbox One and PS4, offering free upgrades to the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions. Last month, the game introduced its first crossover character with Scream's Ghost Face. Hunt: Showdown originally launched on Steam Early Access in 2018.
