Today, President Sheikh Mohamed hosted a meeting with Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi. During the encounter, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister extended the greetings of Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, and expressed his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the UAE and its citizens. In turn, the UAE President asked to relay his own greetings to the Emir, wishing him good health and happiness, and hoping for further development and growth for Kuwait and its people.
The discussion focused on the strong and historical ties between the two nations, with an emphasis on enhancing cooperation in various fields to fulfill the developmental and prosperous aspirations of their peoples. Both parties underscored the significance of supporting initiatives that bolster Gulf cooperation, especially given the current regional and global challenges, with the goal of promoting the common interests of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and their citizens, and enhancing regional security and stability.
The UAE President and the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister also shared perspectives on recent regional developments, addressing a variety of regional and international concerns. The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Theyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; and other senior officials. The Kuwaiti delegation, which included several Sheikhs and senior officials, also participated in the meeting.
