President Sheikh Mohamed has conveyed a message of sympathy to Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr following the fatalities caused by Typhoon Gaemi in the Southeast Asian nation. The national disaster agency reported on Wednesday that at least 12 individuals perished due to floods and landslides nationwide. Amidst the flooding, all educational classes and the majority of government office operations were halted. Numerous flights were cancelled; however, flights between Dubai and Manila remained operational as of the latest update. The UAE Embassy in Manila had previously issued a safety advisory urging Emiratis in the Philippines to be cautious. Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, along with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, also sent messages of condolence to Philippine President Marcos.
