Prince Andrew nearly lost his balance while riding near Windsor Castle on Monday morning when his black mare suddenly became frightened. The Duke of York's tranquil ride quickly turned chaotic as his horse grew restless. The mare began to thrash and rear its head, causing King Charles' younger brother to struggle to maintain his grip on the reins and avoid a fall. It took several minutes for the prince to calm the horse and regain his composure before he could continue his ride through Windsor Estate near Windsor Castle, according to Daily Mail.

The intense moment was captured in vivid images obtained by The Post, showing the dramatic sequence of events. Unfortunately for the prince, his equine issue pales in comparison to another tumultuous situation he faces: his ongoing financial dispute with his brother. According to a recent report from The Sunday Times, the 'lack of closeness' between Andrew and Charles, stemming from Andrew's past association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has evolved into outright hostility. This 'new low in relations,' as The Times describes it, is also linked to Charles reportedly cutting off Andrew's financial support and attempting to evict him from his home, Royal Lodge — a luxurious $38 million estate featuring a 30-room mansion on 98 acres within the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Once the residence of his grandmother, The Queen Mother, Andrew has lived in splendor on the property since 2003 when he signed a 75-year lease from the Crown Estate, paying a weekly rent of just over $300, with the condition that he maintains the property, per The Times. Although Charles wanted Andrew to vacate Royal Lodge, he offered him a new home — a less opulent residence more in line with the King's vision of a 'slimmed-down' monarchy. This residence was Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's former UK home, Frogmore Cottage.

Despite the nearly $3 million renovation, Andrew found the five-bedroom home too modest for his tastes and refused to move out of Royal Lodge. In a surprising turn, Andrew managed to secure enough funds from an unidentified financier to allow him to stay at Royal Lodge. The King has reportedly grown exasperated with his disgraced brother, and the two are 'not speaking' amid the financial turmoil. With no resolution in sight, Charles and Andrew remain at an impasse. And just in time for the holidays.
