Prince William has opened up about the 'brutal' 2024 he has faced, characterizing it as 'the hardest year of my life' after both his father, King Charles III, and his wife, Kate Middleton, received cancer diagnoses.

Speaking to journalists on the last day of his trip to South Africa, where he attended the annual Earthshot Prize Ceremony, the Prince of Wales stated, 'It’s been dreadful. It’s probably been the hardest year in my life.'

'So, trying to navigate through everything else and maintain everything on track has been incredibly challenging,' he continued, addressing a query about his year. 'But I’m immensely proud of my wife, I’m proud of my father, for managing the situations they have faced. But from a personal family perspective, it’s been, yeah, it’s been brutal.'

This story is still unfolding.
