Actor Priyanka Chopra recently took to her Instagram account to share a glimpse of her transformation from her pre-teen years to her Miss India days. Her post, filled with motivational messages about self-love and growth, resonated deeply with her fans.
The first image in her post was a black-and-white photograph of nine-year-old Priyanka sporting a boy-cut hairstyle, a style preferred by her mother, Madhu Chopra, for its practicality at school. The second image showcased the 17-year-old Priyanka, fresh off her win at the Miss India pageant in 2000. The stark contrast between the two pictures highlighted the significant changes that had occurred in just under a decade.
Accompanying the images, Priyanka wrote a caption that humorously warned, "Warning: Don't troll my nine-year-old self. It's fascinating to consider how puberty and grooming can transform a girl. On the left is me in my awkward pre-teen phase with a 'Boy cut' hairstyle... and on the right is me at 17, having just won Miss India in the year 2000... Both pictures taken less than a decade apart."
She further added, "Reflecting on my younger self often makes me more compassionate towards myself today... Think about your younger self and all she has done for you. Love yourself, you've overcome many challenges to be where you are today."
On the professional front, Priyanka recently completed the shooting of her upcoming film, The Bluff. She shared a wrap-up photo featuring her family, including Nick Jonas, Malti Marie, and her mother Madhu Chopra, along with the cast of the film. Directed by Frank E Flowers and also starring Karl Urban, The Bluff is set in the 19th-century Caribbean and tells the story of a former female pirate, played by Priyanka, who must protect her family when her past catches up with her. Produced by Russo Brothers' AGBO Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, the film promises to be an exciting adventure.
In addition to The Bluff, Priyanka is also set to star in Heads of State alongside John Cena and Idris Elba.
