Nineteen individuals in the Sharon region of central Israel sustained injuries, according to the Israeli police, following a report by the military of three projectiles being launched from Lebanon into Israeli territory early on Saturday. The national ambulance service had earlier reported that seven people in the central Israeli town of Tira were injured. The Israeli military stated that sirens were activated in several areas of central Israel after the projectile launch. Some of the projectiles were intercepted, the military said. "A fallen projectile was likely identified in the area," the army added, emphasizing that details were still under investigation. The national ambulance service and local media reported that the injuries in Tira ranged from mild to moderate, with two other individuals experiencing stress symptoms. Later, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed in a statement that it had launched drones at a "vital target" in northern Israel. It remains unclear whether the group's action was connected to the injuries.

The conflict in Lebanon has intensified significantly in recent weeks between Israeli forces and the Lebanese Hezbollah group.
