The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque in Saudi Arabia reported that the Prophet's Mosque welcomed over five million Muslims last week, thanks to the provision of integrated and high-quality services. These services enabled the large crowds to perform their prayers seamlessly and efficiently, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Statistics released by the authority indicated that 483,822 individuals visited the Prophet's Mosque, with 250,725 of them praying in the Holy Rawdah. This was achieved through organizational procedures that managed crowd movement and scheduled optional prayer times for both men and women.
Moreover, 74,486 people availed themselves of translation services. Field services included extensive sanitation efforts, utilizing 24,992 litres of disinfectant. Additionally, 1,640 tons of Zamzam water were supplied, and 188 samples were collected for testing and analysis. The authority also distributed 143,142 iftar meals at designated areas within the Prophet's Mosque for fasting individuals.
