When Sony revealed the PS5 Pro would cost $700, the announcement caused sticker shock, but many still believed the upgraded console would sell out quickly. However, this hasn't been the case in the US and UK. On X, Verge senior editor Tom Warren noted that the PS5 Pro remains available for purchase on PlayStation Direct even after a weekend of sales. Preorders for the PS5 Pro began on September 26 on the site and will be available at other retailers like Best Buy and Amazon starting October 10.

Earlier this month, Sony unveiled the PS5 Pro at a price of $700, with the system scheduled for release in November. The internet was abuzz with reactions to the price tag, as the PS5 Pro costs $200 more than the standard PS5 and lacks a disc drive. Additionally, consumers were displeased that the upgraded system does not include a vertical stand. Despite the high price, analysts predict that it shouldn't significantly impact PS5 Pro sales, with expectations that it will perform similarly to the PS4 Pro. Piers Harding-Rolls, research director of games at Ampere Analysis, estimates Sony will sell around 1.3 million PS5 Pro units during the launch window.

GameSpot had the opportunity to test the PS5 Pro and questioned whether the $700 price tag is justified if you already own an original PS5. Meanwhile, more PS5 Pro Enhanced games have been discovered, including Fortnite, EA Sports College Football 25, and Warframe. For more details, check out everything we know about the PS5 Pro.
