For a console that debuted earlier this month with a $700 price tag, the PlayStation 5 Pro hasn't been fulfilling its promise with every PS5 Pro-enhanced game. Players are reporting that multiple games—including Silent Hill 2, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6—actually look worse on PS5 Pro due to several visual issues.

To illustrate the problems, fans have shared clips and images online, showcasing PS5 Pro enhancements that appear to be significant regressions for the affected games. The PS5 Pro has been available for less than two weeks, yet over 50 games had PS5 Pro patches ready at launch. Based on some of these outcomes, not all patches were fully prepared for day one.

More work may be necessary to address these issues promptly, but this isn't the only concern. Players are also noting that some games on PS5 Pro, such as Star Wars Outlaws, no longer offer the option to play in standard PS5 mode. This leaves PS5 Pro owners with the flawed patch and no way to experience the games as originally released.

As of now, Sony has yet to address the ongoing issues with the PS5 Pro-enhanced games. The PS5 Pro is marketed for the 'ultra-enthusiasts.' However, with numerous PS5 Pros still available on store shelves, this situation isn't painting Sony's premium console experience in the most favorable light.
