Russian President Vladimir Putin has greenlit an updated nuclear doctrine, as revealed by the document posted on the government's website on Tuesday. In a move that comes just weeks before the November US presidential elections, Putin has mandated changes to the nuclear doctrine, stating that any conventional attack on Russia supported by a nuclear power could be interpreted as a joint attack on Russia.
