Rachel Zegler is at the center of a heated debate after her recent comments against Donald Trump supporters. The actress, who plays the lead role in the upcoming live-action 'Snow White' film, has faced backlash from Trump's supporters following her public tirade against those who voted for him in the 2024 election.

Zegler's remarks quickly went viral on social media platform X, prompting Trump supporters to call for a boycott of the film, which is scheduled for release in the spring of 2025. 'Not taking my kids to see this trash after the statement you put out. Disney you need to do something about this,' one user wrote, according to the Daily Mail. Another added, 'I hope you get no peace when this film BOMBS at the box office and streaming.'

Critics have even suggested that Disney should shelve the movie entirely, with one stating, 'Rachel Zegler is unhinged and a liability. They should permanently shelve Snow White and distance themselves from her. Her involvement with the company alienates millions of people and poisons the brand overall.'

Following Trump's victory last week, Zegler shared a series of emotional messages with her 2.3 million Instagram followers. 'I find myself speechless in the midst of this. another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world i do not want to live in,' she wrote in a now-deleted Instagram Story. 'I shouldn’t be this shocked. but i am. i am heartbroken for my friends who awoke [in] fear this morning. and i am here with you. to cry, to yell, to hug. to wax poetic on how the left continues to fail us in forging a new path forward. this loss should not have been. and it certainly should not have been by so many votes.'

In another post, Zegler expressed her disdain for Trump and his supporters, stating, 'May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace. Another four years of hatred, leaning us towards a world I do not want to live in. Leaning us towards a world that will be hard to raise my daughter in.'

The actress also took aim at billionaire Elon Musk, who has been one of Trump's most vocal supporters and has joined the president-elect's team. 'Get off of Elon’s app,' she wrote. 'I don’t use that app for a reason. He helped get that man elected and you’re giving him business.'

Zegler has previously criticized the 1937 original animated 'Snow White,' stating that it was 'extremely dated when it comes to the ideas of women being in roles of power and what a woman is fit for in the world.' She explained that her version of the story would focus on becoming a 'fearless leader' rather than 'dreaming about true love.'

The Post has reached out to Disney for comment on the matter.
