Sources informed ANI that Rahul Gandhi also met with US diplomat Donald Lu and lawmaker Pramila Jayapal. The Congress leader expressed his anticipation for meaningful discussions and insightful conversations that would further strengthen the ties between India and the US during this visit. This marks Rahul Gandhi's first visit to the US since becoming the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
In a Facebook post, Gandhi mentioned that Dallas provided a fantastic start to his US tour. He described his interaction with students and faculty at the University of Texas as dynamic and engaging, with discussions on politics, production, skill-respect in India, and the crucial role of youth and women in shaping the future of their nations. Gandhi emphasized that the Indian diaspora acts as a vital bridge between the two countries, reinforcing the bond between them.
Chairperson of the Indian Overseas Congress, Sam Pitroda, stated on Monday that he and Rahul Gandhi would be meeting a significant number of people from Capitol Hill.
