On Monday afternoon, rain showers impacted certain eastern regions of the UAE, resulting in impressive waterfalls cascading down the mountains of Khor Fakkan in Sharjah. Rainfall was also observed along Wadi Al-Helou Road in Sharjah. Earlier in the day, the weather department predicted that the skies would be mostly fair to partly cloudy across the country. Cloud formations were anticipated in some eastern and northern areas, extending to certain southern regions, potentially becoming convective at times. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued yellow and orange alerts for the formation of convective clouds accompanied by rain until 8pm today.

While rain affected some parts of the country, the weather is expected to be humid at night and continue into Tuesday morning, with a possibility of fog or mist forming over some coastal and inland areas. Safety Advisory: NCM advised residents in the eastern parts of the country to avoid low-lying areas, which are susceptible to flash floods. The weather department also urged residents to refrain from driving unless absolutely necessary. If driving is unavoidable, residents are advised to be cautious and turn on their low beam lights when visibility is reduced. Residents are also reminded to stay updated with weather forecasts and follow any instructions provided.
