Residents can anticipate ongoing rainfall in certain regions today, following a tornado-like 'dust devil' storm and lightning that impacted parts of the UAE yesterday.
According to a forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology, rainfall is expected in eastern and western areas due to convective cloud formation in these regions. This follows a previous forecast of anticipated rain and a drop in temperatures over the weekend.
The NCM further predicts that Thursday's weather will be fair to partly cloudy, transitioning to cloudy by night in westward areas. Conditions are likely to become humid by night and Friday morning in some coastal and internal areas. Light to moderate winds are expected to blow, occasionally freshening and causing dust during the daytime.
The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea. Temperatures are forecasted to drop to a low of 19°C in mountainous areas and reach a high of 41°C in internal areas. Humidity levels are expected to range from a low of 15 per cent in mountainous parts of the UAE to a high of 90 per cent in coastal areas.
