Relationships often involve compromise, and it's not uncommon for one partner to contribute more than the other. This dynamic is evident in the Bollywood duo of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Kapoor revealed on Nikhil Kamath's YouTube podcast People by WTF that Bhatt has adapted more for him than he has for her. "She used to speak quite loudly. My father's voice, growing up, always unsettled me. So she made a conscious effort to change that. It's not simple to alter a speaking style you've had for 30 years. She's someone who instinctively reacts, say, if Raha falls. Her reactions sometimes surprise me. She does certain things to make me feel comfortable. I wish I could say I've done something similar for her, but I don't think I have," he admitted.

Despite this, the actor referred to Bhatt as his best friend. He stated in an interview with Indian Express, "I'm fortunate to have married someone who is incredibly close to me as a friend. She (Alia) is my best friend. I really lucked out. Alia is an amazing person, very vibrant. She's 11 years younger than me, which is quite amusing," he added.

The couple first met when Bhatt was young and Kapoor was 20 on the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Balika Vadhu. They tied the knot in 2022, following four years of dating. They have a daughter named Raha Kapoor.

Professionally, Kapoor is currently undergoing rigorous training for his role in the forthcoming film Ramayana. Meanwhile, Bhatt is set to appear in Jigra, slated for an October release.
