Ranveer Singh's upcoming film 'Rakshas' with filmmaker Prasanth Varma is not going to happen, as stated by both parties. Ranveer expressed, "Prasanth is an exceptionally talented individual. We discussed the idea of collaborating on a film and hopefully, we will work on something exciting in the future."
Similarly, Prasanth reassured fans of the potential for an exciting collaboration in the future, saying, "Ranveer's energy and talent are rare to come by. We will soon combine our efforts in the future."
In the months ahead, Ranveer is set to star in Farhan Akhtar's 'Don 3'. In August 2023, Farhan announced in a special video that Ranveer Singh will take on the role of Don in the third installment of the popular franchise.
In the teaser, Ranveer is seen seated in a building, his back to the camera, before he introduces himself as Don while lighting a cigarette. He then turns to face the camera, displaying a dapper look in a leather jacket and matching pants, complete with leather boots and sunglasses. Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan portrayed the character in the earlier films.
The 'Don' series has always been associated with compelling narratives, thrilling action, and unforgettable moments. The original film, released in 2006, featured Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Boman Irani in prominent roles, and received the Best Asian Film award at the Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival. Its sequel, released in 2011, was a major success. Actor Hrithik Roshan made a special appearance in 'Don 2'.
Farhan's directorial was a remake of the 1978 film 'Don', which starred Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.
