This weekend, rare collectibles from the realms of music and film will be auctioned, featuring gold rings once owned by Elvis Presley and a letter penned by Beach Boy Brian Wilson. Kruse GWS Auctions' "Artifacts of Hollywood & Music" sale includes nearly 400 lots, encompassing items from Prince, Aaliyah, and Abigail Folger, the coffee heiress who fell victim to the Manson murders.
Auctioneer Brigitte Kruse remarked, "This auction contains some very emotionally resonant pieces. There's a tragic element and the premature departure of icons." Highlighted items among the lots include several belonging to Presley, such as a microphone from his Las Vegas residency, a pill bottle dated March 1977, and two distinctive gold rings, expected to fetch between $35,000 and $60,000. Kruse noted that Presley's jewelry, posthumously in August 1977, continues to be a highly valued asset.
Another notable item is a handwritten letter from Wilson to his Beach Boys bandmate and cousin, Mike Love, anticipated to sell for at least $10,000. The online auction will be broadcast live and is scheduled for Saturday, August 31.
