On Tuesday, September 3, Ras Al Khaimah Police informed drivers about ongoing roadwork on a significant road in Ras Al Khaimah. Through a social media update, the authorities notified residents of a forthcoming detour on Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Street, close to the Al Fanous Roundabout, which is set to continue until September 20.
Drivers in Ras Al Khaimah are advised to drive with care and to adjust their travel routes, as roadwork on Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Street is scheduled daily from 12am to 6am. Motorists are reminded to follow traffic regulations during this period of roadwork. It is worth mentioning that earlier this month, a new advanced artificial intelligence-powered camera system was implemented across Ras Al Khaimah roads.
This real-time data system aids the city's police in enhancing decision-making, crime prediction and prevention, and more efficient traffic incident management, all while providing real-time data. Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, emphasized that these intelligent systems analyze traffic patterns and criminal behaviors, offering real-time data to improve emergency response times. The sophisticated monitoring enables the early identification of potential hot spots and the prediction of criminal activities, ensuring faster intervention and a notable decrease in response times for both traffic accidents and criminal incidents.
