New job scam alerts have been circulating on social media, as Ras Al Khaimah police cautioned. The authority used Instagram to notify residents about the new fraudulent activities and outlined the 5-step process of these scams in the post.

The fraudulent process involves: 1. Posting fake job openings online and on social media platforms. 2. Prospective employees apply for the advertised positions. 3. Applicants are led to believe that the job pertains to the sales department of a company. 4. Money is received from individuals and then transferred to other bank accounts. 5. The applicant receives payment for their work without realizing that the money is illicit.

The authority has advised residents who suspect they may have fallen victim to such schemes to promptly report the incident at the nearest police station, as the victims themselves may face legal repercussions.
