A special accountability court in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, granted interim bail to Bushra Bibi, the wife of former prime minister Imran Khan, in a corruption case on Tuesday, according to ARY news.
Bushra Bibi was charged alongside Khan in the case, which involves the alleged receipt of financial assistance from a land developer for the establishment of Al Qadir University. Both individuals have vehemently denied any misconduct.
Bibi will continue to be detained as she is also serving a sentence in a separate case that deemed her marriage to Khan as unlawful.
