Dubai's emerging golfer Rayhan Thomas (Ind) has received an invitation to compete in the $2 million International Series – Morocco, scheduled at the Royal Dar Es Salam Red Course in Morocco from July 4th to 7th, 2024. This marks the ninth event of the Asian Tour's 2024 season and the third within the International Series. The Rabat-based venue has previously hosted events from the DP World Tour, PGA Tour Champions, Ladies European Tour, and the Asian Tour. Thomas, aged 24, will be accompanied by fellow golfers Jeev Milkha Singh, Gaganjeet Bhullar, and Shiv Kapur. The lineup also includes LIV Golf players such as Pat Perez (US), Peter Uihlein (US), Caleb Surratt (US), Graeme McDowell (NI), and Branden Grace (RSA). The leaders in the International Series Order of Merit are currently Carlos Ortiz (Mex), John Catlin (US), and David Puig (Spain), with the winner securing a spot in LIV Golf for the 2025 season. Rayhan commented, 'I've secured a sponsor's invite for the International Series in Morocco. I haven't competed since the Korn Ferry Tour event a few weeks back; I've been focusing on practice.' He reflected on his past performance in Morocco during the MENA Tour, admitting it wasn't his best. 'It's thrilling to participate in an Asian Tour event, especially with a strong field including many Indian professionals,' Rayhan noted. He plans to return briefly to Dubai to finalize his US VISA before heading back to the US to compete in more tournaments on the PGA Tours of America and attempt Monday qualifiers.'
