A red alert for fog has been issued in certain areas, effective from 6:15 AM to 9:00 AM. The alert cautions of a significant reduction in horizontal visibility, which may further decrease at times. Prior to this, a yellow alert was also issued, covering the period from 4:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Due to fog observed in parts of Abu Dhabi, the speed limit has been lowered on several roads, including sections of Al Taf Road (Sweihan Roundabout – Al Ajban) and Sweihan Road (Sweihan Roundabout – Al Kubri Bridge). Abu Dhabi Police have advised drivers to be cautious and to follow the changing speed limits indicated on roadside boards.
Following the autumn equinox on September 22, temperatures are expected to gradually decline, dropping below 25°C at night and below 40°C during the day. Today, temperatures in Abu Dhabi are forecast to range between 30°C and 39°C, while in Dubai, they are expected to be between 31°C and 38°C. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the weather today is anticipated to be generally fair with occasional partial cloud cover. Humidity is expected to rise during the night and into Thursday morning, with a possibility of fog or mist forming in some coastal and inland areas. Light to moderate winds are predicted, occasionally strengthening. The sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
