The National Centre of Meteorology has issued a red alert for fog, indicating a significant drop in horizontal visibility. This alert is in effect from 3:55 AM until 8:30 AM on September 7. A red alert signifies that residents must take immediate action due to the forecast of exceptionally severe hazardous weather events.

Earlier, the weather department had also issued a yellow alert, which remains active until 8:30 AM. Abu Dhabi Police have urged motorists to exercise caution while driving and to comply with the changing speed limits displayed on electronic boards.

The speed limit has been adjusted to 80 km/h on Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed International Road in Abu Dhabi. This adjustment applies to the stretch between Al Thamriya Bridge and Al Hamra Bridge, as well as the segment from Qareen Al Aish to Al Hamra Bridge.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology's forecast, the weather is expected to be generally fair with occasional partial cloud cover. Convective clouds are likely to form in the eastern and southern regions by afternoon, potentially leading to rainfall. The weather is anticipated to be humid during the night and into Sunday morning.

Humidity levels could reach up to 90% in inland regions, coastal areas, and islands, while dropping as low as 15% in the mountains. Light to moderate winds are expected, occasionally strengthening and causing blowing dust during the day. The sea conditions are forecast to be slight in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
